Pregnant Nurse Offers Tips

Madison, Wisconsin | Frontline

Talk about timing! Taylor B, a Radiology Registered Nurse in Madison, WI, is expecting her first child in October. By day she works at the University of Wisconsin Hospital monitoring patients' vital signs, medications, and airways while administering sedation. Knowing that she has two lives to protect while she's at work is an extra level of stress. Taylor notes that pregnant nurses need to be especially careful to follow all CDC guidelines as to what PPE to wear.

She shared that although reusing masks and shields are not optimal; it is far better than not having them at all. Nurses who are pregnant can get many tips from this website.
